Bryony Brett
Stained Glass Artist

A native of London, England, Bryony has a degree in fine art and design from Bristol University. For the last twenty-five years she has maintained her own studio, creating unique artworks that grace homes and public buildings across the United States, including a stunning series of windows that dominate the Cralle Chapel of Cumberland College in Willamsburg, Kentucky. Bryony works principally on commission. Specialities include architectural installations and historical restorations, as well as museum quality replicas of Tiffany Lamp shades.

Artist Statement
As an artist who has been working in stained glass for over twenty-five years, I have a passion for my art and truly love the medium in which I work. I enjoy the challenge and excitement of creating new pieces and restoring the old. Over the years, I have built windows for many public and private clients around the country. Each piece is different, and the individuals and groups with whom I work varies greatly. Nevertheless, the process that leads to the finished product tends to follow a consistent pattern of exploration and communication. And, when all is said and done, the work represents the artist,the space, the architect, the builders, and the people for whom it is intended.
